Located in Temecula, Rancho Damacitas operates 6 residential treatment facilities which serve the needs of children who have suffered from the trauma of abuse and neglect. We are excited about working with these kids and would like to know if you are too.

We are currently hiring Counselor Youthworkers who will work in our group homes and team with our clinical staff in creating an opportunity for the children in our program to have a brand new start at life.

You do not need to have prior college education or experience in this field because we are committed to providing you the training, support, and the tools to succeed as a vital part of our team. As such you will learn to provide the appropriate role modeling, leadership, structure, and mentoring unique to the children’s emotional and developmental needs.

As a Counselor Youthworker you will plan one-on-one as well as group outings and events, assist with daily home and life activities, as well as pro-actively help the children overcome the affects of abuse as you participate in the implementation of therapeutic treatment strategies designed to bring healing and wholeness to their lives.

Skills / Requirements
•Have held a state driver’s license for at least the last 2 years with a good driving record.
•Must be teachable
•Have an ability to provide leadership with integrity
•Must be a responsible team player
•Pass a fingerprinted criminal history background check
•Have a passion for kids who have gone through tough times
•Must be an effective communicator with children and able to build healthy relationships with them
•Pass a physical exam which includes a T.B. test and drug screen
•Ability to do 2 – 3 sleepover nights on-site every other week (as would a camp counselor)

Pay and Benefits
Starting pay will be $10.00 per hour / 40 hours per week
