We are looking for an experienced kitchen manager for a barbeque restaurant. Candidate must be familiar with ordering, inventory and managing all aspects of a busy kitchen including cost control and food prep.
Job Requirements:
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must have 3 years of lead/management experience in the food service industry
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including opening, closing, weekends and holidays.
- Sustains a highly productive kitchen environment through training excellence and leadership.
- Must have a passion for food
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Demonstrates awareness and understanding of food, beverage, and labor objectives by communicating issues regarding waste, portioning, scheduling, etc.
• Maintains prep and grill schedule.
• Responsible for recruiting, interviewing, and hiring prep and grill crew.
• Supervise, direct and coach kitchen employees working during the shift.
• Responsible for food ordering, inventory and cooking basics
• Emphasizes safety and security awareness, and ensuring that employees are properly trained to create safe situations
• Receives and verifies by signature the correct shipment of all food and non-food supplies
• Immediately communicates equipment problems, practices good preventative maintenance on store assets
• Supervise, direct and coach kitchen employees working during the shift.
• Assist Store Operations in all catering production.
